Lucky:

I spent an embarrassing amount of time last night looking for cute, green things to showcase today. Like, it was ridiculous.

I'm not Irish, so I've never been one to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. But, I figured, I'd go with a green blog post. You know, show all kinds of cute green things. Well, maybe the internet was broken last night, because I found so few cute, green things, that I just gave up. Dude. I even searched Pinterest. And that's like the bible of all things great and creative. And I got nothing.

I kept coming back to kate spade, though (like they were going to add a bunch of green items at 10:00 last night), and specifically, to this purse:

It's not green, but oh my, is it cute. And you know what? I think I'd consider myself pretty lucky if I got to carry such cuteness around.

So there you have it, internet friends: my St. Patrick's Day post. No green, but a very cute purse that I would be lucky to have.

It's my party... (well, not really MY party)

OK. First things first. How on earth do I get myself on the invite list to THIS party?

Ignore the fact that it already happened... This sounds fabulous! Even more fabulous is the design*sponge bag that came out of it:

Adorbs. As are many of the other bags...

Yup. I definitely need to get myself to a party like this one.

Another post where I gush about kate spade

There are few things I love in this world so much, that it's borderline obsessive: shoes (obvs) and handbags are among those things--specifically, kate spade shoes and handbags.

The kate spade brand does a great job of being quirky, fun and classic at the same time. I have ks bags and shoes that are embarrassingly old, that I still use to this day (of course, it's always fun to add to that collection, too). So when I heard that the company was publishing a book (!!!) and it's based on the fun "things we love" section of their site (!!!!), how could I resist?

There's a great interview with ks president Deborah Lloyd and Ed Miller, who oversaw the printing, over at Felt & Wire. For print nerds (and, I suppose, sugar junkies) like me, it's like extra icing on the cake of awesome. Fun book, with some background on the different printing techniques?

I'll take 2. One in purse form, please.

Blogiversary!

3 years ago, on February 19th, the traciedesigns blog came to life (alright, I'm a few days late in celebrating, but let's not get all technical here).

In celebrating my 3 year blogiversary, I thought it would be interesting to see what the traditional 3 year anniversary gift is.

You guys, it's leather (or crystal, or glass. But roll with me here, guys--I can always use a new handbag or shoes. Glass? Notsomuch).

So, if my blog could pick out it's own leather gift, I'm pretty sure it would love these shoes, and this handbag. However, since my blog can't actually wear either of these, I'd happily oblige. Just sayin'.

Yummy background

How delicious is this background from Coach?

I love everything about it--the colors, the pop-art-i-ness of it all, it's just great. What a refreshing design fit for summer.

And if Coach is exciting me this much over a background... I can't wait to see the bag that goes with it! The Coach Poppy line is coming on Friday--stay tuned...
